APPLE FRITTERS “ZOPI” (Deep-fried apple or bread)
Ingredients (serves 4):
– 1/4 liter of milk
– 250 grams of wheat flour
– 2 eggs
– a pinch of baking soda
– a pinch of salt
– 1 glass of grappa
– rye bread or stale white bread or apples
– Fry oil
Preparation:
prepare in a bowl a batter beating the eggs, add the warmed milk, flour (to rain), baking soda, salt, glass of grappa. Beat well with a whisk. Slice bread or apples. Dip the slices in the batter (put a spoon in the pan) and fry in deep fat. Dust the “zopi” thus obtained with sugar ..
